Gift Aid:

The Gift Aid statement below will apply if you select YES in the Gift Aid box on the application form which follows this page, or if you intend to give Gift Aid in the future. If you do not select Gift Aid, or you do not intend to give Gift Aid in the future, then you can disregard this Gift Aid statement.

GIFT AID

Gift Aid is reclaimed by Steyning and District U3A from the tax you pay for the current tax year.  Your address is needed to identify you as a current UK taxpayer.

I would like to take advantage of the Gift Aid Scheme to enable Steyning and District U3A to reclaim Gift Aid on your Membership contributions. Please treat as Gift Aid donations I make in the future or have made in the past 4 years to Steyning and District U3A. I confirm I am a UK tax payer and understand that if I pay less Income Tax and/or Capital Gains Tax than the amount of Gift Aid claimed on all my donations in that tax year, it is my responsibility to pay any difference.

Please notify Steyning and District U3A if you wish to cancel this declaration or if you change your name or home address or no longer pay sufficient tax on your income and/or capital gains.

Note: If you pay Income Tax at the higher or additional rate and want to receive the additional tax relief due to you, you must include all your Gift Aid donations on your Self-Assessment tax return or ask HM Revenue and Customs to adjust your tax code.
