If you are no longer in full-time employment and want to make new friends, enjoy life and stretch your mind, then the u3a is for you. 

Visitors:

  • Click "Group List on the drop-down menu to get an idea of the range of  activities available
  • Click "Join Our u3a" if you want to do just that!  BUT...if you are thinking of joining now you may want to wait until January. If you join between January and the end of March you pay the full £15 but that covers you through all of 2025 and up to March 2026! 15 Months for the price of12!

 Members:

The membership year starts on 1 April.

If you have not set up a direct debit then now is a good time to consider it.  

To complete a Direct Debit Mandate:

   (1) Log in  
   (2) Click 'My Information'
   (3) Click 'Create DD Mandate' and enter the information as needed

It is a very secure method which you can cancel at any time.  None of your bank details are held by u3a.

Steyning and District u3a

Is an association of friendly interest groups run cooperatively by and for our members. With about 50 groups that meet weekly, fortnightly or monthly, we cater for a wide variety of interests and activities .

These include Arts and Music, Games, Languages, Current Affairs, Active Pursuits, and Discussion Groups. So there is something for all tastes!

We also have social events, occasional talks or visits to places of interest, and produce a regular Newsletter.

Across the UK, u3a members are learning, staying active and having fun later in life. Itʼs local, social, friendly, low-cost and open to all.

Our u3a covers an area of West Sussex close to the new South Downs National Park. Our members come not only from Steyning and Henfield, two of the larger towns in our catchment area, but also from surrounding towns and villages as far apart as Poynings, West Chiltington and Warninglid.
